Every time I connect to Geekzone I get a pop-up asking me to disable my Ad Blocker.

I disabled it weeks ago but I still get the pop-up message.

Anyone know why?

P.S. My Ad Blocker confirms it is disabled on this site and has blocked 0 ads.

I get the same thing on Chrome. I tried turning AB off for GZ, and uninstalling it but still get the warning. Having to use IE.

I email the "webmaster" about a week or 2 ago but got no answer.

No, I'm currently at home due to an early morning callout. Will go to work soon though.

Are you using Firefox?

Firefox had a per site tracking protection setting that is enabled by default that causes this - not sure on Chrome, but it may have a similar setting.

Just found out Firefox changed their tracking protection methods in the last update on 9 Jan. Might explain why I no longer have a problem

I've stopped using adblockers altogether, got tired of stuff randomly not working.

I get the same message in Firefox on my iPhone.
I shouldn’t need to disable anything to stop that message from appearing.
There is no ad blocker running.

I use Chrome most of the time and don't seen this message - I tested by enabling UBlock Origin and whitelisting Geekzone. Similar results with Firefox.

It could be something else - not the adblocker but a network ad blocking option - DNS for example. Or a tracking script blocking.
