T H A N K S !

I've pretty much given up on reading the actual forums, I just read the links to posts from the last 5 or so hours on the front page, so that will be much appreciated.  I no doubt have missed replies to my posts and threads I've started. I must remember to click on an advert once in a while in appreciation.

adamj: THB, I liked the mockups Freitasm posted a shile back ALOT better. The top menu is very bloated and the font reminds me of Times New Roman *cringe*. Definately a step in the right direction tho.

Agree, not the easiest to read... and the contrast on second 'band' (Logout Chat Search) is not great and combined with the small font is difficult.
Contrast on third 'band' You have pending requests from friends etcon the coloured background is equally difficult
Overall the view is a lot cleaner.. however I know the ads help fund the site, but large and ugly on the left. Is there a paid subscription option where we can have a view that is google ad free and banner ad free (quicker loading, less data on mobile).
Any chance of a mobile version of the site (or at least a little better on layout for mobile browsers)
I would have rathered have my autologin back first before a new look tho...
Its a pain logging in every time.

+1

and what has changed with the text entry control? Now the line breaks are removed from posts.
EDIT: There was a line break between "control? Now".Now when edit it, it merges the lines together.  Using Safari 3.1.2 on OS X.5.4

Yes, and it's HEAPS faster without ads. Click on the Subscriber link under my name on the left.

Yes, there's and for a couple of years now. Look in the footer, or just look some of the profiles with "Subscriber" tags - like mine - and there's a link to a page with more information.

Nothing changed with text entry. You are probably using Opera?

Nope.  Safari, and have always used it... have not had a problem until now.

Great, removed the ads with subscriber, but is there anyway to remove the column with search, subscribe,  news etc that takes up valuable realestate, yet I choose not to read it.  Could it be switched off with Subscriber options on profile?

Not at the moment, but this is a good suggestion for the new design - turn off the sidebar if ads are removed...
