Makes me laugh how people are coming up with these amazing tales of how they are going to donate everything to charity when in reality they will probably be keeping it for themselves.

I believe charity begins at home, i want to give my father a laptop as hes going in for an operation over xmas and he will be at home a lot afterwards so the 18" notebook would be great.

If i do win however i will be donating the Mini 1000, Printer, Photo Pack, Vista/Office, Corel X2 and Kung Fu panda back to geekzone so they can award it to someone else.

Nothing to laugh about here.If you don't have a charity or don't wanna support the cause, you also don't have the right to laugh about that,But not all people are like that. Many people have the wish to do anything good for any organization. If you aren't interested then don't talk about it.Thank you.

I agree with Sheppard. As a developer myself, I would like to keep the notebook, it will boost my creativity by times. The TouchSmart will be a great proxy for me to code more freeware programs for Windows 7 (see http://stoyanoff.info if you would like).

I am also a CS student so I will be able to share the technology with my roomates, colleagues and family. I do not actually need some of the software and would gladly donate these.

Yes, it was.

I've seen the confirmation page after I removed my comments and left it empty.

Thanks for participating in this contest!

Here's my proposal:

"I would donate the desktop (TouchSmart) and both of the notebooks to NorthStar Youth Ministries in Birmingham, AL (http://www.northstaryouthministries.org/). My girlfriend has worked directly with that non-profit organization, and she has relayed to me how desperately the camp needs new computers. Both the staff of NorthStar and the children who go through the program could benefit from the use of these cutting-edge computers (I firmly believe that one of the ways out of poverty is good education, especially with computers).

I would also donate the software too, of course. I personally am really only interested in the Mini and the printer."

Well, I hope I win this, so desparate. I can't believe I have gone 40 contest so far and still no luck. If I end up not winning, I am submitting my name to the Guiness Book of World Records for losing the most HP contest in 1 year. This also includes the HP HDX back in Mayb. :)

It’s quite overwhelming when you think about what HP, Microsoft and so many sites are giving away. HP has exemplified something here, the gift of giving and the magic it entails? If I were to win all this hardware I would share some of the gifts with St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Cross Keys which has been a significant contributor to this small community in South Manchester. Serving not only the spiritual aspects of its congregation but providing a foundation for families and the youth with a Basic School constructed in 2005. A Youth Club program was started in 1997 and has been consistent ever since by providing opportunities for local Youth through social activities such as sports, summer schooling and trips. A non-profit organization such as my church does not have the resources to invest in state of the art technology, so giving them some of the package would be a significant contribution I believe in helping out the church technology wise. Other parts of the package would be shared with my two older brothers. This collection of devices is screaming, show the good in you, so why not make the 'smart' choice of sharing the magic too?  Thanks!

To be honest, I only want the Touch Smart for Windows 7 next year. The rest I would be willing to giveaway to other members here in the forum.

Thanks for the entry system for this site. I've stayed away from the sites where you have to WOW the site owner with the distribution of the prize pack. Just can't do that. Also did not enter the contest type entries.

Most of the sites have said the prize package was to be won as a whole, but there are two sites that have split up the prize package for their contest.

With that said, here's how I would distribute the prize package. Because this has no bearing on the competition, I just did a copy and paste from one I entered.

Since retiring, my dad's health has been deteriorating and he's lost a lot of his mobility. I'm sure he'd really enjoy the the Entertainment Laptop and MediaSmart Connect that I would like to give him. He's done so much for me and I would love the opportunity to to give him such an awesome gift.

I would love to have a notebook, so I'm planning on keeping the Premium notebook for my use. The TouchSmart, would be set it up for household using the software from the prize package. In addition to being disabled from a stroke a few years ago, my roommate will be having foot surgery in January and will have to stay off her feet for about four weeks or so and it would be a great way to occupy time. My aging desktop is set up in my room and it's not very convenient for multi-user use.

At least two of the three movies would be family gifts, and the netbook would be donated to Oakland Children's Hospital where I'm sure it would be put to good use.

I entered the contest,

what I will do with the prizes is quite a long story ...
I will be using them to set up an E-learning centre in a farming community in Thailand.

Check out the whole story on my blog

Well I want the gaming laptop for myself. But as for the other prizes. I'd give the other laptop to my sister who just recently asked me to buy her a computer. Her son (my nephew) who is 5 would of course get the Kung Fu Panda. My best friend (who was laid off) who has been talking about having a netbook for the better part of a year would get the Mini along with the printer and cartridge, be a nice gift for her. My mother who has a Compaq from I want to say eight years ago...with the specs of: 10GB HD, 64MB RAM, basically the computer's only function is to gather dust at this point because it is SO SLOW! she would of course get the desktop with the cool touch screen...quite a leap for her. I already have MSOffice2007 on my computer, so I'd simply install it on my mom's new desktop, my sister's new laptop and my best friend's new netbook, for them.

This is an awesome prize package.  I would personally keep the HDX Premium notebook to take with me to school or to work on at home.  The touchscreen capabilities would be beneficial to my mother so she would get the TouchSmart computer. I'd give my brother and niece one of the remaining laptops to take care of their needs.

I haven't a clue what to do with the MediaSmart or the software, so I'll probably just donate it if I can't find someone to benefit from it.

Cheers to Geekzone for the chance to win such a great prize package.

I have read some great replys to this thread,
noteing the ones from members which can afford to be more generous than a job seeker like myself can.

But the two I liked the most were from;
Lipex666 when they gave congrats to Geekzone for being in the list of 50 top blog sites and
babakers5 when they wished everyone who entered good luck

So congrats to Geekzone and Goodluck to one and all

I'd love to keep the main unit for my self but that would be greedy, so would give it to my sister whos recently been divorced and dosent have a TV or computer of her own.
Keep probably 2 of the laptops (for my wife and I), sell the 3rd with the printer. Dedicate my current PC as a media box in the lounge and sell off/give away my wifes current laptop.
