freitasm:

We have now 10% response, which is a good number - but the survey will be open for another ten days so might have a much higher number. If we get to 15% I am happy.

I can see four or five topics that are most talked about but won't comment for now as things can change and/or I don't want to influence the answers for people who are still going to fill the survey.

Thank you everyone who have submitted a response so far.

Without spoiling or influencing. Are these topics that you were expecting to come up or surprises?

No surprise really but I want to comment on some of the top ones later.

Thanks to all of you who answered the call and filled out the survey. I see some exciting trends there and good comments too.

Out of 4,690 invites sent out, we had 546 responses (about 11.5 %). We sent the invite to users in New Zealand (according to “Country” in your profile) who have accessed Geekzone more than 50 times recently.

Most visit Geekzone a few times a month (36%), but a good number visit Geekzone multiple times a day – some do it every day (24%), and others do it a few times a week. A smaller group visit Geekzone once a day, every day (8%), or once a day a few days a week (17%).

This group is a good profile because we have people with lots of experience around the site giving this feedback.

A massive 91% of you say you have solved a problem with the help of other Geekzoners, while 33% say they have used the Offers/Wanted sub-forum to trade/buy/sell something.

About 1/3 of the respondents are subscribers, with 11% saying they didn’t know a subscription option was available.

Of those who know about the subscription but aren’t subscribers, 10% say they don’t like paying for a subscription online. A big chunk (63%) say they are happy with ads, so they don’t feel the need to subscribe, with another 18% of people saying they don’t subscribe and block ads anyway.

Overall, we had a 4.38 stars rating, which is immensely satisfying.

There were some recurring themes in the comments. I am thinking of running an Ask me Any Question (AMA) session on our Slack channel at some point.

I must apologise, I had intended to complete the survey, didn't have time when it arrived then it slipped off my radar till just now.

I hope you got the feedback you wanted.
