chris021: RSVP!!!!

im comming!!!! i just booked a flight!!!

i land at 4.30pm if any1 want to collect me!!!!

Chris.
I can collect you from the airport at around 4:30pm. Look for a Blue Chrysler with plate GEEKZ1 (of course). I will be parked in front of the Air New Zealand check in doors (this is on the same floor as the domestic terminals, not on the arrivals downstairs!).

Wow!

Thanks everyone who made to it. It was really great to meet you and have a good chat. Very nice of people who jumped into a plane to join us, or canged flight plans to be here on time. I appreciate your efforts!

It was really great, as johnr says, and I had lots of fun - hope everyone else had too. I will post some pictures here later.

We will work on doing something in a few months, but perhaps a whole day event with some technical stuff on the side and some social events. Stay tuned!

Thanks again!

Indeed, it was a great evening. Thanks to the sponsors, Mauricio, and everyone who came along. It was great to be able to exchange ideas and pick the brains of such a wide range of enthusiasts.

Mauricio - Would there be any chance of me getting hold of these photos in slightly higher resolution? I'd quite like to put a few on my web site.

Send me a PM with the email address - I can zip and send the pictures. Not very good quality though - the lighting was poor and that Kodak camera seems to have a weak flash.

Hi team. What a great night that was. I enjoyed getting around and meeting you all and putting faces and real names to usernames...

To those who missed dinner or better still, dessert (yes, we went to two seperate restaurants to complete our culinary part of the tour) - I feel sorry for you - the food was great!!

Unfortunately my weekend was not a complete success - we were to drive home to the Hawkes Bay on Sunday, but early on Sunday was admitted to Wellington Hospital for an episode of a heart disorder i have. I was held in the emergency department before being released around 2am Monday morning. Just in time to get 4.5 hours sleep in time to get my partner to the airport so she could fly to auckland for work. (She was meant to fly from Hastings). So I got to drive home alone feeling under the weather, and now have a few days home alone!!

I hope everyone elses attempts to get home were much more uneventful than mine!!
