AndrewTD: I like the idea of a self-selected checklist for technology "types" we use - but agree it's not a badge thing.

Well the auto awarded ones could be called achievements and the user selected ones badges. Just a thought.

I was thinking more along the lines of tiny indicators per tech. type, either in the bar on the left, or perhaps as an optional extra line / section showing in or below our signature line for each post.

kind regards Andrew TD

I logged in after being away from Geekzone for five months and felt like Christmas had come early.

Thanks very much.

If anyone participated in Movember, please send me a PM with your page and I will give a manual badge, like the one on Nate's profile.

Also notice we have released a new batch of badges - those are more difficult to get too...

Also notice we will have special badges on the 25th December and 1st January. These just arrived here today and are already in the queue, waiting to be collected.

"Has stalkers - 10, 25, 50..." - I figure people who are stalking me are interested in the content I present. If people are stalking you and I'm not then I'm interested to check out what you have to say as you might be a good content producer I should not miss.

I know the site has that friends posted thing... I don't look at it, I use the email feed to keep check on the stuff I might be interested in following.

We won't have public IPv6 until we have it... Actually working on a temporate 6to4 tunnel, until we can have native IPv6 addresses through Datacom. Firewall being configured so should have a tunnel setup by next week.

As for the beta, check this post

And here was I thinking it was the Sierra Madre badge for those people that didn't want badges Wink

How about a "Winner!" badge for those that have won one of Geekzone's giveaways? Although I can see that going over past history to retroactively award them could be tedious.
