Hi,

I just wonder whether Aussie Vodafone SIM expires after certain time frame like NZ Vodafone SIM, I mean disables SIM itself, not credit expire.

Because I got an Aussie Prepaid SIM and although it doesn't have credit on it, it still receives TXT, but wondering whether it become disabled.

Cheers

It probably does if you don't top it up after a certain timeframe.

yes - after a year from the date of the last top up it does. I have 3 prepaid registered Vodafone AU sims and when I checked them last (just visited in october 2010 - before topping it up, said I needed to topup before the 12 months were up)

Thanks guys,

Wht about Aussie prepaid sim only activated but never purchased any credit?

I could not see any expiry date since there is no credit recharged. However i still able to receive txt and hopely able to receive calls if it in Aus.

Main reason of have this sim activated and roamed is for receiving periodic info txt.

I cant find any good answer from aussie voda faqs.

Anyone have some answer?

Cheers

If you refer to the VF AUS website you will see that expiry is determined by plan with most being 1month (from memory) except for 365day prepaid plan - I have also found that they unprovision unused Prepay packs quick quickly - had bought a couple approx 12months before tried to use them and they were no longer provisioned.
