princesscam: so nothing for naked broadband 60GB plans???

i am definitely leaving at the end of this billing month :(

As Dylan alluded to it sounds like the naked plans will be announced later ...

Does 'later' mean before end of month?

June for about the 10th time

Frustrated much?

Likewise...

I might start paying my bill 'very soon' too.

Know wonder they are looking at buying TelstraClear as after this announcement that will be the only way to increase market share. I said it when we had to wait 2 months, this was a great way to loose customers and when they do come to the party its a flop.

I aim to misbehave.

Continue to leave customers in the dark, and Vodafone might see that market share decline in the Home phone and broadband market. Other than growth by acquisition of course.

My point is from this small(compared to competition) increase onwards, I am a Vodafone customer(Phone,Broadband and SKY) though after finding out I will get just 20 GB more/Month I am now actively looking elsewhere, I do not believe I will be the only one. Your point is growth up to this small(compared to competition) increase. So the facts and figures will be in your next half/full year earnings I guess. I am happy to be proven wrong.

I aim to misbehave.

Just saw this on Snap

http://www.snap.net.nz/snap/vdsl2

So for $125, you get VDSL2 and 260GB of data (or $110 for 155GB).

Or go on Orcon get 200GB, Free Phone Features + VOIP for $99 looking very attractive, or even Slingshot Unlimited for 60$. I have a friend on it who is getting 21Mbps, fantastic speeds. Will look to transfer if Vodafone don't become attractive. As would most people too. And don't forget Snap has unlimited Youtube for $5.

nakedmolerat: maybe the rumours is true that vodafone did not manage to secure extra bandwith...

And the sky will be falling on our heads tomorrow,

This is a change for the 13th some people have jumped the gun and thinking this is it and the only change

Hi this if from the email I received:

Great news. As of 13 June 2012, your broadband allowance has been permanently increased from 60GB to 80GB per month at no extra charge! This means you can do more of what you love online - browse the web, watch more TV on demand, stream music, podcasts, blogs and more. With all this extra data, you now have the freedom to go wherever your fingers take you.

Best of all, you don't have to do anything to get it.

This upgrade will be automatically applied to your plan, so just sit back and enjoy the extra value on us!

As you can see why people think this is it, as there is nothing to suggest otherwise, so is the email wrong or was it just bad marketing to leave out some of the other 'Great news'?

So, 20Gb (as per the email) is no good for me as we double each month and use the full 120GB. This will not reduce my need to double.

Then I get a twitter response from vodafone saying hang on - theres more coming. OK - I'll wait for a bit. But surely this is a strange way of announcing what many of us have been waiting for over the last 6 weeks or so?

I've been with vodafone for a long time - will give them the benefit of the doubt here as I have never had any issues with service/speed. But 80GB doesnt feed the family Laughing

Very bad marketing and PR going on here, the old dangling the carrot trick. Still nothing for Naked DSL, weird that this should be left out of the changes?

At least apply the same brush to all plans :-)

Anyway back to sitting on the fence and reading posts about NDR, very soon, June :-)

Finally got my email today, extra 20GB (60->80GB) same as above. Bit disappointing but I will wait and see what else eventuates in June. If nothing exciting I'll probably be looking at changing ISPs.

The snap offers are certainly very compelling, but I'm a bit concerned what will happen to their performance\contention ratios when they have a bunch of new customers all on VDSL with huge data caps... Is it sustainable long term? Their perfomance on web page loading on truenet is already not the best; huge data caps are possibly not as important to me as quick performance while browsing. The 24month contract is also a bit of a turn off.

Like the sign that sits over the motorway heading North over the bridge that appropriately says "North Shore - Major Turn off'

Vodafone taking a quality of quantity?

80Gb is ample or are you downloading every HD movie release?

The little things make the biggest difference.
