Hey,

I have an issue with my phone where I can't read or write contacts to my VF sim card.

I tried other sim cards and the result was teh same with a 2degrees sim card and older VF sim card.

But I put in a spare Skinny sim card and it worked with that sim card. and I could read and write contacts to that sim card.

So I am assuming that it was the sim cards fault and not the phones.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

And can this be fixed, say a different sim or such?

and my phone is a sonim XP5300 if that helps at all.

Kind Regards,

Travers.

Have you tried the same process with SIM in another handset?

Yes, the Vodafone sim works fine in other phones, Have tried with Motorola Defy, Samsung Galaxy S, and an old 2G nokia.

Only doesn't work in this phone, but for some reason the skinny sim reads and writes fine on it.

Do skinny use a newer version of sim card or such that my phone is only compatible with?

i can still save messages to my sim, and use the vodafone menu, just not save contacts.
Cheers.
