Hi am having real issues with sending and getting texts on the vodafone network, it has been happening for over a week now.  I have the latest software on my phone (iphon4s) and have tried turing it on/off with no luck.  Any thoughts?  This is not just happening to me but a few of my friends as well.

There are no known issues, Have you tried your SIM in another handset?

I have had zero issues are you and your friends in the same town? Issue might be isolated to a single cell site

Approx where are you?

A indication of a local cell issue might be longer call setup time but this is not always the case

In westmere.  I dont have another handset to try...  so thats a problem.  Ive tried sending texts in different areas so its not the cell site

Yes I was in Westmere in the weekend for about 6 hours at a friends place I noticed no issue and I work in Auckland CBD and live on the Shore,

Anyone else having issues on Geekzone around Auckland?

What do you mean by "issues"? Messages not leaving your phone? Messages not arriving at the other side? Messages being delayed?

Amanda are you still having issues today?

I have now done a fair bit of testing and can't find any issue around SMS, I have checked our SMS routers for alarms and all looks good,

If you like PM me your mobile number and I will do some checks on that,

Issue resolved the OP had the destination number saved incorrect +64021xxxxxx instead of +6421xxxxxx
