My emails are taking about 4-5 hours to get through to vodafone at the moment.  I know it's a VF problem because they're sent from my domain to gmail and VF, and are taking 4-5 hours longer to reach the latter.  ANyone else experiencing this?
There doesn't seem to be a network status page on the VF website, or at least not that I can find

Thanks John

Not (for me) an obvious place to look.  To quote from the forum:

Hi, I just had an email arrive at 8:45pm, sent to me at 1.54pm (7 hour delay). I wonder how many 1000's of people who rely on Vodafone for their business were affected. It's almost like Vodafone doesn't acknowledge the severity or impact of a problem like this. Shouldn't an outage of this scale and duration be highlighted on the main Vodafone webpage? Just a thought.

Vodafone are not a specialist email hosting company. If email is that important use a premium email provider.

He is sending emails from other domain already. I imagine he has no control over the service the recipient uses.

But for that person talking about business being affected, yes there's no excuses to be using ISP fir email.

Vodafone do have a network status page somewhere, but usually they don't post details of outages there, they pefer to bury them somewhere deep in the forums.

Mind you it did take them over 7 hours from the first notification on the forums to let people know that things were fixed and the backlog of emails were comming through.

That wasn't me on the forum, just a random unhappy customer

This hasn't affected me greatly because all my email goes to my ISP addresses and to my gmail.  But I could see that for any business, having such a delay in emails, and importantly, not knowing about it, could lead to loss of some business

I wonder whether Vodafone tell their prospective business customers that if email is important to them, they should get an alternative provider?

Now that Vodafone is buying TelstraClear, with its DMZ Global IT business perhaps they will offer a business grade email service...
