quickymart: What happened to NonPrayingMantis?
He doesn't work for TelstraClear... Or are you asking about his inactive status?

michaelmurfy: Step 1) Phone up TC and ask about deal, ask if you can go on it.
Step 2) Tell TC you're disconnecting, ask them to disconnect your broadband.
Step 3) Once they ask if there's anything else they can do for you, sign up to the deal as a "New Customer" all whilst talking to the same CSR, since you're now a new customer they can't refuse the deal.
Step 4) ???
Step 5) Profit!
One of my cousans did this to get onto this deal, worked a treat.

Just to confirm, does your cousin have this deal on an InHome setup?

kaczor47: Sigh. I called TCL to talk about the current plan I am on, compared to the competition. I was basically told to stop whining since I agreed to a contract. Big mistake to sign up to the 2 year TBox deal. Not only is the TBox acting up, now I am stuck with a lousy data cap until September 2013 (not prepared to overpay any more to bump up my cap). Honestly, I am very close to biting the bullet and terminating the contract. The amount of time I have wasted on the phone dealing with billing issues, performance issues etc is worth more than the termination fee.
BraaiGuy: Just got a reply from Telstraclear.
The 500% more promo is only applicable on the Homeplan network. I'm on the In Home, Naked Broadband.
That no good. I am stuck on 60GB of data but not interested in upgrading to the 100mbit download and 10mbit upload warpspeed plan just to have 150GB of data. ($155.95 per month)
The homeplans give you 100GB Data + Phone + Free wireless modem + Free connection for $90/month, or 150GB data for $105per month.

That's quite a good summary, but I'm quite confused.
Why are you still an Inhome HFC customer? Why not just move to V/ADSL?
