Looks good initially but when you dive in deeper it isn't much better (for mainly data users) than the $19 Prepay Pack.

Doesn't it give you 750MB of data a month total(500MB +250MB) if you top up $20 each month, so it is better.

From the Vodafone site If you switch plans you will lose any bonus or Add-Ons you may have.

Does that mean if you activate the freebee you lose the smart [data] add on?

It would appear you have to go off your prepay smart plan to go on this which is actually quite crap to be honest.

$20 prepay freebee = 250MB, 2500 texts + $20 credit (at 49c a minute thats 40 minutes)
$19 pack - 500MB, 5000 texts and 50 minutes

Is this a pack for people who can't count?

Nope, it's on a different prepay plan. You can't mix and match between this and the $19 prepay pack.

I must admit that I didn't read it that way, but if that is correct that kind of sucks. It isn't exactly clear that that is the case. I thought it was a free bonus for topping up, like 2 degrees does, and you could chose which freebie you wanted, and it wasn't treated like a separate 'plan'. It would be better if it didn't expire after 30 days, but perhaps lasted at least a couple of months. Otherwise there s no real benefit to it over one of the smart prepay plans for $19

None of the above. It's a separate "plan" all of its own.

Don't wanna sound like a grinch but it's a lame option. I personally believe - and it may not be true - that it's there to make people think they're getting something for nothing, when in fact you're asked to put in $20 or $30 every month just to get "the freebies".

The plans are not designed to please every single prepay customer,

Some customers would like to use Prepay credit to pay for parking or maybe music downloads or PXT (MMS)
