geekiegeek: "Pricing valid for new customers signing up to InHome from 1 April 2013."

Surely this cannot be true?

Call and ask to change your existing plan. They will do it for you (I've just done it).

Of course if you are in a term contract then it's another story.

Just called, transferred to a couple of different CSR's but got the desired result in the end. Had to sign on for 12 months but that doesn't worry me as I'm not planning on selling up and moving any time soon.

I just called Telstra - to ask if there was any way to bump up the data allowance by paying more.
The girl was unable to help but put me through to Vodafone - and the rep there suggested there is a 'double your data' plan - for $105 you get 100 gigs and when you go over that it can automatically charge you $30 for another 100 gigs.

So $135 for 200 gigs. might just about suit my needs - but she was unable to confirm if it was ADSL or the Telstra Cable 100/10 Warpspeed - which wold obviously be a dealbreaker as the Telecom ADSL plan is much more compelling.

Please Vodafone - Take My Money!

Bring out a 300 gig Warpspeed naked BB plan (100 down 10 up) - for ~$120 / month and I will gladly jump over from Telecom while paying the break fee :)

(I miss my fast flickr uploads).

It's going to be so strange dealing with an ISP where you know the support guy is always right. ;)

http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/8497882/Vodafone-defends-new-customer-lure

I have to say I think that a statement like the below is hardly helpful for customers who are worried about what the takeover of Telstraclear may bring in regards to customer service.

"Bowering acknowledged customers who were not "in the know" or who did not have time to haggle might be disadvantaged, but said that seemed to be "the way of the world at the moment"."

A nice gesture to your new customers may have been a letter saying how things are going to be so much better under Vodafone and just to show how committed we are here's a new sweet deal on your existing bill with us.

Ok all done - 0508 88 88 00 - ask for sales, broadband and you seem to end up in Christchurch where the CSR had good clue and got it all done in under 5 minutes.

yeah you definitely want to be not on a contract. i signed up for t-box about a year ago, i am on some promotion that takes away the monthly fee but because of that, to upgrade to warpspeed 100gb i have to pay the old telstraclear prices. i was like, it says $86 right there on the website, but that is a promotion according to them, so i am stuck. either i have to pay $115 a month for warpspeed 100gb or i have to pay $200 and break the contract. really annoying!

Let's not get to excited... last time I did a plan change it took me a month to sort out the fall out, so we'll see what happens.

Sure...

Interestingly 'Net Usage' (the little program I use in firefox to monitor my usage) has just clicked over to 0% used and now shows I have 150Gb allocation.

The usage meter seems to show it stopped counting at 2pm, but also shows a new plan starting tomorrow, but where is my usage for the rest of today gone?

Just a wee update - i got confirmation that the double your data deal is only for bog standard  Cable - and doesnt apply to the old TC Warpspeed 100 megabit plans.... so still maximum of 150 gig :(
