Hmm I see different pricing - $85/99/109 on the http://www.vodafone.co.nz/broadband/high-speed-cable/ page - is that where you were looking?

Though its all very confusing - and a little annoying. For instance "Free use of the Digital TV Recorder every month with the Vodafone TV SKY option" - so no more TBox rental? Bit of a kick in the pants since I paid upfront...

I assume all those three are now 130Mbps? (i.e. they don't have the lower speed ones anymore?)

That or you are seeing the price with the On Account Mobile discount ticked and not the 130Mbit.

These guys must be banging their head on the wall and facepalming themselves for what they've unleashed on the poor unassuming Kiwi.

Lias: Did they ninja hire Theresa Gattung and start thinking all their customers are dumb marks to be fleeced for as much money as possible or something?

I always suspected Vodafone was going to screw up everything good TelstraClear ever did but this is above and beyond. Actually gobsmacked.

I'm getting also reminded of the dark days of Telecom too. Especially with confusion of customers and not giving them a fair deal.

Vodafone is increasingly poor value unless you tie up most of your services with them. Then your average Joe is not only locked in by contract (of which you can't change plan if on an old TCL one, unlike several other ISPs), but many people I've talked to feel locked in by the bundle discounting. This means they will be concerned if they swap one service, then their price is going to go up. So it's keep everything with Vodafone or change everything. And that's not including general friction and things like ISP email addresses.

I can't tell the difference between service and value for money following the changeover from TelstraClear to Vodafone. Everything seems much the same.

I don't see bundle discounting as a big issue. If I swap one service and lose a discount then I expect that I'd do so for some greater benefit so I'm better off over all. If I have to choose between "keep everything with Vodafone or change everything" then I'm firmly in the mainstream because ISPs generally want all our business.

Below the prices there is a box to get prices for 130Mbps option. You need to check that to compare the old prices you mention with the new prices.

won't be sticking around if this is the case, hopefully our 60gb $55.95 gets grandfathered. Website is totally confusing as well, would like to see an answer about what happens to open contract customers

As an existing Vodafone customer i feel they have really missed the boat here. :( These plans and the loss of double your data are making me think long and hard about being long term with them. They had the chance to take the market but are just relagated to towards the back of the pack in my opinion. They are not value.

If it is like previous experiences prices won't change once contract expires, but if you try to change to another plan (for example from the 150GB to 250GB) then you will be put on the new price.

Gotta agree with all those comments about how confusing that web-page is.  I have no idea how to use it. Actually I found it quite stressful trying to work out what to click, or not. Even tried it in multiple browsers in case one extension/add-on was crippling it. Just as well we have Geekzone to provide some much needed context.
