In a post last week someone from Vodafone let slip on Facebook their HFC network " can reach 130Mbps" (DOCSIS3 can do more but bear with me). Last few weeks I have heard noise of new plans. And today during the 4G launch here in Wellington I heard about new plans coming but with new speeds.

I wonder if these come out as additional plans or replacing the existing 100Mbps plans. If additional what would be a compelling reason to move up - not a big jump compared to 10 up to 100. Price, plan allowance?

Hey guys,

Some exciting news :) As of this morning we increased the downstream speed on both WarpSpeed 100GB and WarpSpeed 150GB plans from up to 100Mbps to up to 130Mbps downstream.  These plans can now reach up to 130Mbps downstream and up to 10 Mbps upstream.  Customers need to turn their  modem off and on again to start receiving up to 130 Mbps downstream.

Enjoy!
Lon
