Hi Guys,
Just a quick question I'm thinking of trying https://unlocator.com/ in reading they say TelstraClear / Vodafone censor DNS. Is WarpSpeed classified as Static, I haven't checked but would assume so can anyone confirm;

List of Internet Providers That do Not Work With Unlocator

Last Updated: Jan 07, 2014 07:36PM CET

Although Unlocator can be used in just about any location, there are a range of Internet Providers around the world who either censor, perform what is know as “DNS Highjacking” or use transparent proxy servers. As a result Unlocator won’t work with the following providers and there is nothing we can do about it.

  • Vodafone (you can use Unlocator if you have a static IP)
  • Telecom
  • TelstraClear

Cable services use static IP addresses. But this has nothing to do with services such as unlocator and unblock-us not working.

It all comes down to having a transparent proxy, nothing to do with IP addresses being static or dynamic.

Thanks Freitasm,
I Agree this was from their web site from what I have read they say Vodafones Static IP addresses don't use the transparent proxy, hence why they noted it. Thanks for confirming though, I may try them out tonight when I get home.

Technically there is nothing actually broken. You could just as easily argue that a site such as this (or infact any DNS redirect sites that attempt to get around geoblocking) are doing things that are technically outside the square.

I used unblock-us on TelstraClear cable for netflix and had no problems at all.

Am I just lucky?

As promised here is my update. We started a NetFlix account last night, and connected on the computer Movies are streaming well. I tried on the PS4 no app available, but after Googling I found that all I needed was to create an American PS account then using this account to logon to the PS4 this worked NetFlix and HulaPlus etc. were available to download. I have since connected to NetFlix on the PS4 it looks great.

Out of interest try going to Netflix or Hulu from your PC browser and see if you can still access the content.

Yes tried this first worked fine; actually I have now re-tasked and older 40inch Samsung for the bedroom and connected to the PC via HDMI and after downloading the Windows 8.1 Metro app for NetFlix the result is really good HD display to the TV.  BTW - I have had to up my account by 100gb as I can see the data usage has zoomed up.

Right, after this report I decided to try Unblock-Us again on Vodafone cable... And it's working as reported. Tried with my laptop only and it worked, then changed the router DNS and it worked on my tablet as well.
