Does anyone know details of the new Fusion unlimited plans coming out next week? My WXC statement mentions $99 a month, unlimited data, hardware provided.

Because I'm not an account holder (recently left) the sales staff would not give me any information (I'm inquiring on behalf of 2 family members)!

All I asked for is what hardware is provided, guessing MP264 and no charge for it? Also if there are going to be cheaper data options.

I called as I'm interested in the details as well but they didn't really have anything they could tell me yet (I am an account holder). I'll be getting a call back once more details are available. The plan goes live on the 7th July apparently. Bit odd to announce a new new plan with minimal details, I guess they're just gauging interest.

Presumably existing hardware will remain supported (Cisco SRP series etc.)?

No indication of what the terms and condition are included with the bill.

Thanks, yeah she mentioned 7th launch date. Just could not believe she was telling me to get each account holder to call them to find out basic information... which sounds like they don't have to give out ;p

RunningMan, I doubt it and if they do I presume will cost more. Seems to be the trend to only support certain hardware (good and bad depending on how you look at it).

I left Xnet's BB, as I wasn't sure when their new plans would be out, or if they'd be any good when they did arrive, and I didn't want another $200-plus bill (thanks to the allure of SVOD!).

I'm pleased to see that $99 for unlimited BB, and including VOIP, this *is* competitive with other similar ISPs - well done Xnet/WxC. I'd certainly hope that you don't need to have new equipment, my dad just bought a SPA122, but if it's provided as part of the service, then that's OK.

I'm pleased to be able to recommend to my dad that he now stays with Xnet given these plans. It's a shame they weren't out or properly flagged in a more proactive fashion, as if they had, I probably wouldn't have migrated. That said, when we move house at the end of the year, I'll certainly give Xnet/WxC another look.

So - to Xnet/WxC, by way of customer feedback - can I encourage the Board/management to return to being a pack leader, rather than follower? Innovative and on the front of the curve rather than a reluctant follower. An email to all your existing BB customers along the lines of "We know that some other ISPs are now offering unlimited plans. Rest assured we are planning on announcing our own *very* competitive plans in the next couple of months - they'll be worth waiting for!". How hard would that have been? Given how easy it is to change ISPs these days (and to change back, mind you ;) - gotta keep nimble!

So do you basically scrap all current options and have only 2 available, unlimited for $99 and PAYG for $75 with hopefully more than 20GB included?

I just had an online chat with them and asked them a few questions. The answers to which are below:

Now the Unlimited plan gives you a fast speed, free rented MP264 hardware box. only thing with this plan, its a 24 month contact.

The Traffic shaping, is yes. At this stage this is in the process of being wirtten up for our T&C's. ..... Our exsiting plans will not be changing. And the Unlimited Fusion plan is delivered as VDSL or Fibre.

I was told over the phone that the speed upgrade is to the max speed available (she didn't know what the max speed for fibre was) and the early termination fee is $299.

Is this in preparation for December when Sky finally enables the Ethernet port?

So - to be clear (since there's nothing on the website yet): my dad can ring Xnet/WxC tonight and be upgraded to Fusion Unlimited ADSL, for $99/month, using his existing hardware (TP-Link TD-w8980 + SPA122 telephone adapter) ?
