I was in Wellington yesterday and they have 4 G in the CBD.

I have noticed in the past - and confirmed yesterday - that the touchscreen response on my iPhone becomes slow to the point of unusable when 4G is enabled and in use. As soon as I switch 4G off in Settings, it returns to normal.

Can anyone think why that would be?

Also, at least on my phone, 4G appears no faster than 3G in the CBD to be honest. It may be technically but for normal email/browsing etc there is no appreciable difference!

Confirming it's a 5 and not 5S or a 5C (ew)?

In saying that, I use a 5 and haven't had any issues on 4G for over a year.

It's a first gen 5 running up to date iOS.

Any app. Typing becomes impossible and general response goes AWOL.

Turn off 4G and it all reverts to normal.

Umm probably won't work but you can reset all settings and keep the data, that would be your last shot short of buying a 6

Yes well, if the large screen 6 that is rumoured turns out to be a reality I will be doing just that!

OK. Next time I head over the hill I will try!

(Last week I went over and then they closed the Hill road once I was safely on the Wellington side to collect SWMBO from the airport...resulting in a 300km detour to get home again!!! Not to keen to repeat that.)
