lummie: An extra $50 over Spark and 2Degrees as well, kinda put me off the idea of a preorder

The plan you get it on is quite a bit better than the other two.

Well, the $99 plan form Vodafone and Spark same Data Calls and Txts, Red+ has a data sim if you need it, Spark has Spotify Premium included.

Vodafone does include a bunch of other stuff if you need it, but if you dont...

Yes that's what I thought - and not even a mention of when it might be available!

I had my mouse poised for 2 128Gb 6+ handsets in Grey but no!

Hmmm....  delivery is stated at the top of the page as 5-7 days from launch.  Not sure whether to sign up or try my luck in a store on the day...

Being somewhat rural, I have no store handy in which to try my luck unless I make a 90 minute journey there and then the same back costing $20 or so!

IME VF store is usually quite quick. I think I can wait a week if I have to!!

I do want the nice leather case Apple have made - which hopefully will be available on launch because it presently shows in the Apple Store as 'unavailable' - and I certainly am not making a trip to the nearest Apple Store to get one!!

Barring somehow Spark rejecting my order/signup for the $69 a month plan, I will (finally) be leaving Vodafone after being a mobile customer for 15 years. What swung me over mainly revolved around Vodafone's refusal to allow customers with low to medium levels of usage/mobile data requirements to sign contracts from the outset to get the IP6 early. The plans available for pre-order simply don't work for me costs wise and in terms of how much I need. To stay with VF, I would need to stay on my $39 plan with a bonus 500 mb of data (totally 1.75 gigs a month) with 300 minutes to Aus/NZ (the ability to call Australia is meaningless to me) and pay full price to get my phone from Apple at the early stages.

Paying full price isn't a problem for me but from experience Apple appears to have difficulties grasping the fact that our CGA provides for more than their 1 year warranty for normal, personal use (eventually resolved in my favour after I had to threaten to take them to the DT in relation to a Macbook Air) and ordering from Apple also means having to deal with the disgustingly incompetent TNT courier. As someone who will always subscribe to Spotify Premium, its inclusion in Telecom's plan means that I will be over $400 better off in terms of the total cost of ownership of my 64 Gb phone (including subsidy), monthly mobile fees, and Spotify fees over 24 months. All I lose is 250 mb of mobile data but I gain 300 minutes of calling (not a big deal) and the flexibility of using Telecom's wifi, which I am well positioned to take advantage of due to where I work and tend to hang out etc.

And this is the second time that Telecom/Spark has gone out of its way to look after relatively less profitable customers like me -- for my IP5 I was able to pick one up from them without signing up on a contract well before VF allowed this. It's time that a company that looks after me get my business properly.

The Spark wi Fi is no use to me at all really. The nearest is 3 km away from where I spent 85% of my time!

I see people parked in cars using it but it looks a bit seedy!!

Same here, the there are no wifi stands anywhere near me - a better idea would be if Spark installed wifi at train and bus stations in Wellington - maybe throw a few in the train with a 3G/4G connection.
