kiwifidget: Hmmmm..... I changed my Mini512MB ($10/mth) plan over to Red Share Tablet last week, thinking I could save myself $10/mth. I guess I'll have to wait for my next bill to find out. I suppose worst case scenario, I'm not paying more money but getting extra data on my second device anyway.

It was free for everyone who signed up to Red Share Tablet prior to 01/10, so you should be good to go. Please let us know if that's not the case, we can look into it for you. :)

Is there any confirmation either way on this question?  If I need to reapply for the same plan I'd like to be able to do it before it rolls over and I have to wait another month for it to kick in.

Looking into this for you now.

The team reckon the increased data allowance is noted as being for all 'new and re-signing customers', although a re-sign seems a little odd for open term plans. I would suggest calling 777 and having a word with the re-sign team to make sure you'll be switched to the new $29 plan (You certainly won't need to go into a contract term or anything silly).

Cheers,

 - Nik

Thanks Nik.

I agree that it seems very odd.  But I don't mind "re-signing" for the same plan.  :-)

And in the latest update to this ongoing attempt to move to the current version of the plan...
Having wandered in to the Lambton Quay store it turns out that there isn't any way for them to actually move me from the previous $29 open term plan to the current one.
They also were confused as to why all the other plans automatically updated the people on them to the new limits but this one did not.
Now awaiting some sort of response from an email sent by the staff member to get this looked at.  Was given a heads up that she couldn't guarantee that it'd be done within one billing period.
Now, I have 6 days left in this billing period.
I first enquired about this last billing period and was advised to wait for the roll over and see if it updated (a reasonable request) which it didn't.  So I shall be somewhat disappointed if I have to wait yet another month for this to get sorted.  On the open term plans I am effectively "re-signing" each month so if nothing else, this should automatically update on a new billing month which I think would be fair and reasonable.
If nothing else, why is it so seemingly hard to get the plan updated?

How did you get on with this, Im also on a $29 On Account plan no term and haven't seen the data increase either.

Well I'm the same too, my minutes and data were never increased.

Having said that I can't see the plan anymore on Vodafone's website...

It was supposedly upgraded by switching briefly to the $39 plan then back again.  However it seems to have picked up the original $29 plan details again.  Have emailed back again to see what the story is.  Still seems odd to have a plan that can't be upgraded to the new version of itself at rollover, especially given it's an open term plan that rolls over each month.
Must be a way to achieve this.

Hi guys,

Have received word that there were indeed some customers on the $39 & $29 plans who did not have their data allocations automatically increased - these should have shifted from 750MB & 500MB to 1.25GB & 1GB respectively.

That issue should have been fixed up for everyone as of this past Friday.

Cheers,

 - Nik

Should we see this change right away or do we have to wait for the next billing rollover?

Im still seeing max of 500MB on my plan.....

The comms I have (helpfully) do not mention whether it takes effect immediately or from the next billing cycle, just that it has been fixed.

Happy to have the team take a look for you to confirm, could you please PM me your mobile number?

Cheers,

Mine seems to have updated over the weekend.  The data remaining indicates 1GB available.  The Plan page still shows the original info (150 mins and 500MB) but I'm not too bothered about that so long as what I actually can use is correct.  :-)

Hi,

My billing cycle starts today and my 29 plan still shows 150m+500mb. I guess it still has not been resolved properly...

Last friday I switched from a Smart 1 iPhone plan to a new On Account $39.

I can confirm that I'm capped at 750MB.

Hi folks,

Anyone who is on the $39 or $29 on account plans and has not yet received the upgraded data allowance should be receiving a text message about this. Apologies for the delay.

Cheers,

Hi Nik - I am on the $29 plan and did not receive the upgraded data allowance nor a text message about this issue. Any thoughts on how we can resolve this?
