Yeah, I noticed that after I looked at the final address on a traceroute. :P Regardless, the connection's still not staying in NZ.

We use Vodafone at work and are having major issues with some websites just refusing to load.
From what I gather based on the calls I could overhear from the infrastructure team, the phone monkeys were very reluctant to log the service call.

When you need to access support.microsoft.com and can't it makes work hard

It seems the optical cable cut is still affecting traffic.

Having a lot of issues in Hutt Valley this am. Pages will fail or half load, or load loosing formatting etc. Will connect one minute then the not the next (eg Geekzone).

Speed are varying from as low as 6mbps to 97mbps down however upload seems to be steady at around 9.7mbps

I keep getting "The connection was reset" when trying to visit www.physicsforums.com

Sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't.

Also see my post in another thread, posted last night: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=153730

Still totally stuffed for me here in Christchurch on Cable.

It's great that the vodafone service status us so up to date and details the problemso succinctly... oh wait, it doesn't even mention there being a major nationwide issue at all.

The V/fone status page needs some work...  some detail for the fault reported would be good, such as "customers may experience browsing issues" - just saying "fault" is rather open..... and probably causes more calls to the call center with people asking what the fault is, and is it why theyre having problems....

Network status page does not mention Christchurch, where I still have very limited service.

As someone said it above, Vodafone must be having issues contacting the CDNs. A lot of websites I am visiting are sitting on contacting cdn.optimizely.com and others.

It is impossible to use here in Paparangi, Wellington this morning. Nearly all international sites do not load, unless you reload 10+ times.
