Been having metering issues with my 100G Warpspeed cable plan, so have simply changed to the unlimited plan instead.

Sales rep said I would probably need a new modem and would schedule a visit in for the upgrade, but my current modem is a Cisco DPC3008.  It's been a few years since it was installed, but I thought that was the model that was still being used, so is there any need for a site visit/upgrade?

I know that with the modem install I officially agree to a new 12 month contract, which I don't really have a problem with, but if there's no reason to coordinate arranging with a tech to swap a modem for the same model, I might as well avoid it.

Thought I should add that the plan has already been changed as far as the usage meter is concerned, and at the moment I am getting 75Mbps down/10Mbps up on Vodafone's Wellington cable speed-test.

I was on the Warpspeed service, which was up to 100/10 I think, and I changed to the unlimited 100/10 service, so should be basically the same speeds.

That's what I thought - no point wasting anyone's time on a needless install, and I don't need another router, so I'll give them a call.

As John & Mauricio have indicated, no new modem is required as you already have a DPC3008. :)
