One more thing, i just checked My Vodafone (can log in this morning) and I'm a bit confused over this...

I've just signed up for the You Choose Mega Plan over the telephone & was initially told by the CSR it will take 3 days to take affect, however once everything was completed, he said it's now currently active! Tongue out I only had to wait for 20 seconds for them to answer the phone as well, brilliant service Vodafone, I'm very happy! Laughing

The whole process took about 10 minutes & they said there was no need to go into a shop to sign any contracts. I have been a customer with Vodafone for about 6 years now, previously using the Get 200 Plan.

I applied this morning about 9am, got text back within a few seconds to say it will take two days and they will text me when its ready to go. Got another text 52 mintues later to say it had been added on. Then went online and changed txt2000 to txt600 and got a confirmation text about that about 20 minutes later. Very fast considering everyone must be signing up to this today (Was in this mornings Dom Post too)

I went to the vodafone store at around 12pm this afternoon. The staff said that their system was down and had to call up to put me on bestmate and the text 200.I got the sim card anyway because my other mobile was stolen along with the sim card.

The lady said she will call me when she has called up vodafone and put me on the plan.After an hour still no calll...So I rung customer service who told me that noone has put me into the bestmate yet so I had to do the entire process again over the phone.


I will never go back to that store ever again.

The girl over the mobile said to me that she will call me back in 10 minutes to tell me it is up and running and so she did and said to use in after about 10 minutes

I thought about joining MEGA and TEXTER but as you know it was only a promotion so i decided to stick my you choose 20 plan add two best mate and a text 200 plan

PXT is viewed as a "data call" so it shows the duration (usually under a minute) so you must be either using an old phone or sending a large message.

And Pxt is of course, included in OA bestmate



Side note, spoke to a rep yesterday whom was the usual "I hate working for vodafone" response.

I just phoned the "special line" for the promotion as was greeted by a lovely rep whom later told me I was her first call on this promo ever! I could have sworn she was a regular 777 rep until she told me otherwise. VERY professional and she deserves a bonus.

Why are the regular staff never this nice, or honest!

Sadly, on all 3 calls (including todays superb woman) and one visit to the store to try and get the info straight, there has been some "Computer glitch" of some description. the call made last night where the woman was a bit rude it was was more the case that you could just tell she was totally over the computer issues Vodafone seems to have on an ongoing basis.

I'm awaiting a call back.

Why would that stop you? Yes it's only available to sign up to for three months but after that you will stay on the plan

According to the offical blub here are the general terms.


Offer ends 30 November 2007.

After the completion of the relevant minimum term, customers will continue to receive TXTer until cancelled

After the completion of the relevant minimum term, customers will continue to receive Talker until cancelled

After the completion of the relevant minimum term, customers will continue to receive Mega until cancelled

Additional voice Add Ons are not available on Mega.

3G bonus minutes do not apply to this Offer.

Existing Vodafone Customers who are subject to a minimum term will be liable for early termination or resign charges.

Standard handset subsidies apply. I'm unsure as to what, I have been told $120 or $90 and that they all class as "Choose 60" plans.
I think this is all wrong... Go by the standard subsidy tables.

From a billing perspective, It looks also like its a combination on "Choose 60+" or "Choose 20+" plus the applicable bundle feature at zero cost.

You should just be able to add on any other addons like an extra TXT600 etc. As stated "Additional voice Add Ons are not available on Mega" but the others make no mention.

WTF

I just called vodafone and they said if i changed my old you choose 20 to the new 1 I will need to pay$150 and renew the 12 month contract >WTF No way!!

You are only able to sign up to these plans BEFORE 30th of November, you will stay on the plan even after the 30th of November. Refer to paradoxsm's post above

That would depend on how long you have left with your current contract, if it's more than two months, then early termination fees apply usually two months or less with an existing contract allows you to switch to another plan. You would of been aware of these conditions when you signed up for your You Choose 20 contract.

Dearest Vodafone,


I am a "You Choose" customer, and have been since Feb 06 (before then, a Get200 customer, and PrePaid). When I signed up, you made up some rubbish about how being on a term contract with Vodafone means that they will make a commitment to me of providing cheaper calling and offering deals etc if I signed up and made a commitment to you. So I did. Now you offer these Talker and TXTer “You Choose” bundles. Eager to save money, I wanted to switch my Choose 60 and Text 600 plan to the TXTer plan (saving me around $12 per month + free BestMate (worth another $6)). So I called up your Customer Service line (777), and asked you if I could switch for free, and of course I could, you said. You also said that my current contract (which has 5 odd months left) would NOT be extended for another 24 months. You told me to call 678 to change.

So, I called 678, where after a lot of discussion you told me that I would need to resign onto another 24 month contract, and that these Talker and TXTer plans were bundles and COULD NOT BE MODFIED. So I have no idea what Paul Brislen is saying, because your supervisor told me that you could not modify them.

So... Despite the bundles having calling packages called 'Choose 60' they are not the same as You Choose (which also has ‘Choose 60’). So you can't simply just update your existing contract (and keep the same terms).

Personally, I feel pissed off at you Vodafone, not only being told the wrong information, but shafting me (as a You Choose customer) so much. We were told as You Choose customers that we would be given the best deals because we had made a commitment to you. I feel sorry for anyone who has just signed up for You Choose and can't switch without paying a transfer fee.

 

One of my friends who canceled his contract to transfer his number over to Telecom was offered three months free rental to stay. Why do you only care about connecting new customers or customers leaving? Why don’t you care about your current customers?


Your rude staff and ridiculous treatment of contract customers is shocking. When Telecom start to offer GSM/WCDMA (the only reason why I have stayed with you so long) you will lose a long term customer unless you seriously pick you game up.

I am on a you choose plan 24 month contract.I have around 7 months now and am using a you choose 20




I wanted to switch to the other mega you choose plan and I didn't mind renewing a 12 month contract but vodafone told me I had to pay$150 to end the you choose plan to join the new one




That really P***ED me off .I have to pay a transfer fee



Why should I be paying a fee to change to a you choose plan when Im on a you choose plan?




That just doesn't make any sense
