21brandon21: Vodafone are still the best priced ISP in NZ. No one can match $85 For unlimited BB with phone, Free SKY for 6 months, 6 best mates, free modem, 12 months PSN Subscription, Free MYSKY. That Retention team deal.
Sideface:old3eyes:solaybro:Sideface: Vodafone have just posted their new cable prices on their website.
My plan has gone down:
VF cable with phone, highest available speed and data allowance:
2103 $156pm for 150 GB at 100/10 (plus $3 per 2GB overage)
2014 $139pm Unlimited at 100/10
2015 $109pm Unlimited at 100/10
As I won't have the UFB option until late 2019, this is good news
This is great news, I wonder where they managed to cut costs in order to decrease the price.
Moving their support staff off shore I guess.
I phoned VF Sales this morning to confirm that the above details were correct - they were.
The phone was answered by a Kiwi in 5 minutes.
The VF rep volunteered the information that the price will go up by $10 after 12 months.
I totally agree with NonprayingMantis' comment re "confusion as a marketing tool".
My VF cable contract has now been changed 5 times in 24 months (fortunately for the better)

Sideface: More "confusion as a marketing tool":
Only 24 hours after introducing their new cable rates, VF have complicated things even further by adding yet another HSC option:
Ultra Fast with home phone + NEON - Cable, which offers "Free NEON for 6 months" (presumably a joining credit for new customers only)
The 50/2 Mbps version costs $99pm, and the 100/10 Mbps option costs a hefty $129pm. (both less $10 for On Account mobile customers)
see: http://www.vodafone.co.nz/broadband/high-speed-cable/
Brumfondl: ... Looking at the little ! next to the Free Neon it says that you pay$105/month ($115 for 100/10) for the free period which would mean that free Neon is in fact $6/month ...
Sideface
Brumfondl: Um, is it just me or has the plan with NEON vanished?

quickymart: There was also that one that penalised mobile customers for calling other networks, I remember someone saying it was setup to "reward loyal customers" or something like that. Then the Commerce Commission got wind of it and it was dropped.
