Noticed this press release today. Waiting to hear from Vodafone if this is just a planned upgrade or to support new staff coming to work in their (overseas) call centre:

Counterpath Equips Vodafone New Zealand With Unified Communications Solution

CounterPath Corporation, a developer of award-winning over-the-top (OTT) Unified Communications solutions for enterprises and operators, today announced that Vodafone New Zealand has selected CounterPath's Bria UC clients to be used by call center agents in South East Asia. Via distributor Soft Solutions Ltd., the company purchased branded Bria softphone clients with the Call Center Module to interoperate with the Genesys platform, a leading call center infrastructure deployed by more than 3,000 customers in 80 countries.

The Bria UC softphone product line is part of CounterPath's Enterprise OTT solution that focuses on enabling voice, video, messaging and presence across virtually any standards-based call server platform. CounterPath's products work with a variety of call center infrastructures including those of Cisco, Genesys and Avaya, three of the four leading contact center infrastructure vendors as rated by Gartner.

"This deployment with Vodafone is another example of our leadership in the UC softphone market," said Todd Carothers, EVP of Marketing and Products at CounterPath. "Our customers are able to take advantage of Bria's high level of interoperability and customization to enable a flexible solution that meets their needs and technical requirements as well as leverage the customer's brand. These elements together highly differentiate CounterPath products from those of our competitors."
