cranz:
Vodafone: Some overseas-sourced mobiles have problems on the Vodafone New Zealand network

I don't see where it says All imported handsets will drop calls, I see Some phones will experience dropped calls etc.. and as numerous people have stated in this thread some do..

Exactly, just proves what I have been saying all along about people exaggerating.

Doh..., I did not check the website and the comments here implied "all"

I have a Cingular device sitting right in front of me that has some very strange issues though that is to be expected being heavily customised for a particular network.

Yes other telco's have issues though I consider them much more minor.
Right now Telecom and an MMS glitch which is not a critical one (still going on), Telstraclear and overcharging me a month when I jumped ship to orcon (solved instantly in one call), Maybe I should post the good stories here too. like the recent superb service from AMI ins, Telstra, Telecom and two awesome people at Vodafone whom really did try their best..

My gripe with VF is that it has been going on so long with so many people I know whom and it's "never their fault".

The good point, I'm no longer a customer so cannot complain any longer! :-P

Yeah right, that hasn't stopped your continual barragement of constant whinging & untruthful & exaggerated posts though has it?

I could make several posts about other Telco's, ranging from minor to very serious non delivery of service in a specified time period, but I choose not to. You however post like you think you know every one of Vodafone's nearly 2.2 million customers at a personal level & imply that your experience & that of a few mates is reflective of their entire customer base.

Do you see my point? Vodafone are not by any means perfect & but Telecom, TelstraClear, Ihug, Orcon etc are certainly no better.

End rant/*leaves thread*.

paradoxsm: Lying that their  about higher instaces of "missed calls", "dropped calls" and other nonsense is just plain deception however and blatant lies.

Paradoxsm, unless you have evidence Vodafone New Zealand has been actively lying and deceiving customers and you are ready to show this evidence I will have to ask you to stop posting this kind of accusations.

There's a very good reason for this: under New Zealand law a website is responsible for comments posted. Unlike the American law where comments are your own, in New Zealad we have the duty of "policing" users - sorry, but "dura lex sed lex".
