Sooo Geekzonies. I relocated. Lost my 70Mb/s VDSL. :( Please 1 moment of silence.
New house has over 30 so still winning right.
Diray as follows:
Tech came 1 day after RFS.
Tech didnt want to move my jackpoint (Just required jumpering to another cable and changing from BT plug to RJ11) (Did myself)
Tech never completed the order.
Called VF, CSR had no idea and told me to wait
Called back. CSR had no idea and transferred me directly to provisioning.
Provisioning had no idea and updated the order and told tech to come out.
Messaged mate at VF who updated order asking to close and ignore prev notes
(Still no PPP)
Called now at 9:30, CSR had no idea, Didnt have access to Chorus tools but still claimed to be tech support. He transferred me to business tech.
Now im waiting again until tomorrow for them to decide that i should wait another day for it to *activate*

Cringe,

Maybe this is payback for me having a lel at everyones problems.
Who knows.
But isnt it funny that the support i have received has been terrible. All CSR's i spoke to were from the Philippines.

Given what you know about Vodafone from when you worked there, why on earth would you still be with them as an isp when you could get better service from literally *any* other ISP???

Yea I really don't get why ANYONE in their right mind would ever willingly deal with Vodafone for any fixed line services unless they were in a HFC area.

The long wait times wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to ring them. But their systems seem to be such an abortion you have to ring them every time you get a bill because it will be wrong.

Before Vodafone I was with Snap for 4 years and literally did not have to speak to one single person on the phone from the original provisioning to disconnection date. If a little Christchurch business can manage that why can't one of the biggest corporate's in NZ figure it out?!

Too many customers for the amount of staff, IMO.
I'm on Xtra/Spark for my VDSL, and if not with them, I would give Snap a serious look (have only heard good things about them).
TCL/Vodafone? Not in a million years. My neighbour is with them and is thinking of getting fibre with them. I've warned her it could be difficult as her phone line access seems to be through the roof of my house!

Why didn't you move to a UFB serviced place and ditch VFail?

I am considering dumping VF cable for VDSL just to get rid of VF!!!

I thought you Vodafone employees (and ex-employees) had a special secret code you could enter while waiting for hours on the phone to speak to an actual live human being (assuming there are any/many left at VF), to bump you up the waiting queue. tongue-out

I feel sorry for Phillip Innes having to do all that support by himself.

On a serious note though, I am getting close to walking out on our corporate contract with VF as its been 2 months since I asked for something to be fixed and still nothing, latest bill appears to have been created by a random number generator.

Invariably every time something on my account changes, they fvck something up on the next bill.
