overkill: You can lodge a fault with your ISP and when the technician comes out ask if you can be put on a 'Long Reach' DSL card in the exchange and sort your internal wiring so it is the only jackpoint on the DSL circuit from the master filter.  Pukerua Bay exchange has a couple of long reach cards installed to give DSL service to customers in Paekakariki Road up the top of the hill some 7-8kms away.


How does that work? Is there a cable running up the hill behind Pukerua Bay through some paddocks or something?
