Ragnor: Makes sense that Vodafone UFB "Cable" would use ex TCL platform but why would Vodafone UFB "Fibre", I don't think it does?
The IPTV equipment (TV service is delivered over IP multicast) is on the ex-TelstraClear side I believe. ADSL/VDSL don't do TV over broadband (via satellite only) and backhaul dimensioning would have lower requirements than "ultra fast" 100+Mbps that cable and fibre can deliver.

Most people who have posted their traceroute outputs in this thread seem to be on cable though.

Probably because the Ext TCL platform can't talk to the VF system platform.

Vodafone sold UFB "Fibre" pre Telstraclear acquisition and I don't recall Telstraclear selling UFB "Fibre" at all.

Makes sense that Vodafone UFB "Cable" would use ex TCL platform but why would Vodafone UFB "Fibre", I don't think it does?

Both companies had Fibre before the merge . Telstraclear wanted to get things right and trialled UFB to about 100-200 people.

When the merge happened it was decided that fibre would be all migrated to the TCL system due to limitation of the Vodafone System. It was all manual, time consuming where as TCL system was very automatic where each sets of things are set to happen after an action. A RFS date would create a port , follow by activation of UFB after the connection was complete something VF didn't have.

If UFB/Fibre ended up in Vodafone System . I don't think anyone will ever be connected..

I think that was one of the reason they bought TCL because of their system.
