As per Jeff's reply 6 Nov. New channels are being broadcast in improved quality. The quality improvements for existing channels are yet to come.
lchiu7: World TV (all channels) and Sky 1 (among others) are still pretty poor. But TV1-3 are much better and almost as good Freeview (though it's not a fair comparison with Freeview coming over component and TCL over s-video)

Just trying to figure out where the nasty composite artefacts are creeping in. Honestly it looks worse now than before Nov 14th.

Sorry - may not have been following this thread closely enough - but from Ichiu's comment I was led to believe the FTAs were improved already.

System One: PS3 SuperSlim, NPVR and Plex Server running on Intel NUC (C2D) (Windows 10 Pro), Sony BDP-S390 BD player, Pioneer AVR, Odroid C2 running Kodi and Plex, Panasonic 60" 3D plasma, Samsung Q80 Atmos soundbar. Google Chromecast, Google Chromecast TV
System Two: Oppo BDP-80 BluRay Player with hardware mode to be region free, Vivitek HD1080P 1080P DLP projector with 100" screen, Denon AVRS730H 7.2 Channel Dolby Atmos/DTS-X AV Receiver, Samsung 4K player, Google Chromecast, Odroid C2 running Kodi and Plex
Nety: So are the new channels for digital only? We have a Digital and a analogue STB in our home which up until now have had the same channels. The analogue one is not getting the new channels. Is it going to?
Also should the analogue STB improve for picture quality as well when the upgrades are made next month?
Ideally I would like to put a digital box is for the second TV but at an additional $15 over and above the cost of the analogue STB I just cannot begin to justify it. I do fine it strange that it costs $5 dollars for the first one and $15 for the second. I would have thought that Telstra would be keen to move people of the old analogue STB's.
