johnr: We have 9 days left worth of quite major work going on during business hours to get it completed with least impact customers, If your HFC connection drops out during business hours wait a while for service to return

(while is 30 min / 1 hour not hours and hours)

To be fair John, that is what we have heard for months ( well ok, a year ) now, and service continues to be well below what we pay for. I dropped the 130 plan cause there was just no point. But even the 100 plan is not worth it. And we are all just sick of it.

Roll on fibre. You should be really worried when even Maurico says ' enough is enough' and leaves.

I know we should all lay TDR complaints, or CGA, or whatever., but my god, this is just unacceptable.

@stocksp Don't shoot the messenger please, Be greatful you are not connected to a Conklin cabinet that will not see any upgrade work in the next 6+ years (A good friend of mine is connected to one) These customers still pay the same as customers connected to a VDSL connection getting 70Mbp/s down and 20Mbp/s up

Remember I volenteer my time on here where possible

We have already covered that congested Nodes are getting work done on them over the next 10 days

I know this John, but perhaps y should talk to yr employers about their level of service., I'm not shooting you, but do you think we should have to put up with this? We are being sold, and paying for, a service that is not being delivered and it's bloody frustrating ( and very damaging to VFs brand).

Great, so that means WKH will be fixed in the next 10 days?

Btw, I was told on Sept 11 last year that WKH was being resolved, so that did not last very long - less than 5 months before its borked again!

Who am I going to speak to when a project / work is underway working on the congestion issues?

I'm not going to repsond to anymore questions from yourself sorry or it's just going to end up ping / ponging backwards and forwards and we will both end up frustrated with one another and this adds zero value, Don't take this personally but sometimes we just have to step back

Cheers

cool - I understand and do appreciate that you are volunteering here.  I also think you should not have to.  Its a failure by your company and their customer management. And it has been for some time.

You and Dylan on the other hand have been as helpful as you can be,

Doesnt stop me being rightfully annoyed (understatement) with VF

stocksp wasn't "shooting the messenger", he was simply expressing his opinion that the message you've been delivering for the last eight months has been largely meaningless for a number of us. I think we all have a right to express our dissatisfaction with the situation, especially when the consistent message is the fix is right around the corner, which has so far proven to not be the case. You'll forgive us if we have doubts that this round of fixes will be any different than the last.

I would "be grateful" at this point if Vodafone would deliver the service I'm paying for, or admit they can't and stop stringing us along.

I would also "be grateful" if you or Dylan would answer questions about Island Bay directly, it hasn't gone unnoticed that your answers are consistently evasive.

Yes Sideface, your node is coming up in the next couple of weeks to have more capacity added.
I'm being a bit careful here to not release too much info ahead of time, because some of the timeframes etc could shift.
I can confirm you're definitely on the list.

The node referred to here is WKH in Island Bay.

This seems to me to be a reasonable response from Vodafone - provided, of course, that there are no more long delays.  smile

WKH Island Bay (our system refers to it as Berhampore) is definitely on the way. Plan is to complete this work in the next 1-2 weeks. There may be some small delays like happened yesterday morning, we needed to wait for some repair work to be completed before the WKM Miramar work could proceed. The team also need to keep in mind the over customer experience and wait times as well. Wait times have been very low recently, but if the customer service team are already busy it's probably not a good time to intentionally cause an interruption to a couple of thousand customers ;)

I can't say too much more at the moment, but like John mentioned there's heaps happening, and I'm confident that you'll see a result similar to BigMal.

If you would like to know if your node is in line for a capacity upgrade as part of this work please send me a private message with your node if you know it or your customer number and I'll check with the team.

Kapiti - W93.

Hi all + @ethanbmnz in particular

I've just received an update from the team that they were not able to complete the work on Kapiti W93 and Avalon W12 yesterday, but they're working on them this morning. Starting with Kapiti at 9:30am. May be a 20 minute interruption while it's carried out.

Cheers

Dylan

Awesome, thank you for the update Dylan. I realise specifics are often not possible and delays in this kind of work are inevitable, but keeping us in the loop really helps us (or at least me) keep my patience.
