I've noticed Karori has also been on the list a few times now. Have been hoping and looking forward to improvement, but noticed nothing as yet. 6 is the best I can do this time of night.

My node was on the list today... Download speed improved, upload speed is currently 1/6th of what I've been able to get during the most congested times over the last couple months :-/

Over Ethernet ?

Yeah, over ethernet... I have my daughters laptop and phone on my desk to ensure she's not hiding in her room ruining my results while I'm testing ;) Have also disabled any services that might upload (media server is powered down, my tablet and phone have wifi disabled).

I'm getting very variable results...

@sjhs My node has been upgraded and I've noticed the same. Even over the course of a single test downstream and upstream speeds sometimes vary wildly. Reboot your modem and if symptoms persist... well... wait and cross your fingers.

Yeah, I've been getting the variable speeds within a test too... I've power cycled my modem and currently have this PC plugged directly in to the cable modem to eliminate issues with my router as a cause (I ditched the Vodafone provided one in favour of my Linksys X3000, as it caused me issues with port forwarding).

Oddly, my speed tests are great tonight (close to 100 Mbps), but YouTube is once again unusable. YouTube's reporting dips below 1 Mbps. I'm seeing buffering at 480p, and even 360p runs into hiccups.

240p, here I come! Nothing like streaming video at a resolution that's barely higher than SNES output!

Does Vodafone still have the local YouTube cache thing going on? I sometimes wonder if that perhaps is having issues just like the Steam cache did/does?

Me tonight:

As usual. I will be so happy when upgraded - any day now!

(Eternal optimist - but when the node I am on is upgraded, I will want to share it for the world!)

It will probably turn out that we are bringing down the Vodafone network with our obsessive speed testing ;)

Miramar tonight, tested over wifi:

Looks like my node has been upgraded. Will test again tomorrow night. It's about time, my speeds have been absolutely abysmal like the majority of people since March.
