That's an awesome approach thanks - and sums up Vodafone perfectly - but I assume I would still lose my ~$25 a month Sky discounts that I get through VF billing?

(Off the top of my head, I think it's HDi & HD Ticket discounts that I'd obviously prefer not to lose).

Unfortunately that is correct you need to stay with Vodafone to keep the discounts

There was an article from Stuff a while back about being able to get discounts on Vodafone when you were a Sky customer (http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/68852101/sky-to-offer-vodafone-broadband-at-discount) but sadly the detail was lacking so not really sure what the plans that were eligible were.

If people call SKY and ask about broadband they'll be transferred through to the Vodafone sales team. A $10 discount will be added to their SKY package after they sign up to an eligible broadband plan with Vodafone.

The existing long standing package for Vodafone customers who also have their SKY services on their Vodafone bill is free rental of the MySKYHDi decoder, $15/month value.

Clearly there's more details, terms and conditions, etc etc.

What if they are already on an eligible broadband plan? Or is this for new customers only?

The full list of plans is on the SKY site here http://pages.skytv.co.nz/offers/broadband

I've asked one of the product owners about existing customer eligibility, will reply when I have more details.

Existing customers are eligible, to sign up phone SKY on 0800 303 404.

Keep in mind you will not be able to have the [SKY discount from SKY services on your Vodafone broadband bill] and the [SKY discount from being referred to Vodafone broadband] at the same time. The Vodafone On Account mobile discount is available through both.
