Ridiculous.

(I'm far too lazy to reupload my tweet to Geekzone)

Yeah, I've just been bumped from 2.5GB to 5GB on the Red + Essentials plan. Funny thing is, the only time I'm not on wifi is on my commute (driving) and when I'm out at the weekends doing things with my wife and young kids. Consequently last month I didn't even use 1Gb!

Would be nice if they bumped up the 512MB for tablet a bit too :)

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster and even more now as they are upgrading their rural Conklins. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend $195 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, data cabling and general computer support for home and small business.

Yet, now on the smaller plans, they've actually decreased the amount of data you get.

For example, for the plan I am on (open-term $39 a month), It used to have 1.25GB, now it has been decreased to 1GB for the same cost- nothing else changed.

Quite a surprising move to be honest, I thought if anything, it'd have been increased.

(EDIT: Worth mentioned, they haven't actually decreased my data on my plan, but if I was to leave and come back, it would be on the newly adjusted 1GB option)

Spark did this too, same price point, same data decrease.

I get 7.5Gb and usually use 60-80% in a month where I do not travel much and 100+% when I do.

I use it at home instead of wifi because the 3G is way faster than our wi fi.
