So I have a really random issue which is seemingly related to the Vodafone network...

I recently bought an Orvibo Allone IR remote which can be operated over 3G. It works fine on 2-degrees but I just get timeouts on the Vodafone (3G) network.

I've tried two 2-degrees SIMs and the "cloud" connection over 3G works fine.

Tried the same thing on two different Vodafone SIMs and and the "cloud" connection over 3G doesn't work.

Now I believe the app does a HTTP handshake and then sends some UDP.

Are there any firewalls/restrictions on the Vodafone network that would cause this kind of issue?

PS I dont have this kind of issue with my WeMo, Ergo or Limitless kit.

The cloud servers are all in china with the problems that entails.

I havent tried my allone from outside for a while because its not plugged in at the moment since the app is so damn terrible. Just tried my socket and was not able to control it either on spark or vodafone 3g. I have the unit connected to a snap vdsl connection, have not tried over wifi on a different lan yet.

Thanks richms. Glad it's not just me.

We have Orcon UFB. Interesting that it doesn't work on Spark either.
