Also since yesterday my connected speed on the box has dropped to 14mbps

Thats what i dont understand.Sites just load really slowly. But also why is the speed fluctuating so much?

Pity you're not in Renwick - they have VDSL available there. I assume by Woodbourne you're right next to the airport?

Yep we are right opposite it.Vdsl is available here but apparently we would only get 4mbps faster then our current connection.

and a heap more on the upload

but a vdsl connection should fix up any wiring issues you may have in your house

which sites are you accessing? can you post a traceroute.

I have no idea what a trace route is but international sites are very slow for some reason and even geekzone takes awhile to load

Are you sure you are using the correct DNS? Check under ip configure/all

For windows go to run and type cmd to open dos prompt. type: tracert cnn.com
