Recently been having excellent peak time speeds and latency from Vodafone.
Just been maxing my line on torrents for the last 3 hours.
Must admit. Never have any issues.

Your lack of sarcasm disappoints me.

Vodafone international traffic (red network?) seems to absolutely plummet - especially in the evenings just lately.
I used to be able to watch BBC iplayer on my ADSL connection.
Now its just not usable at all.
Seems to work for a few minutes ok then just fails - cant even reach the iplayer site.
After 5-10 minutes the site will load again - you may get another couple of minutes then the same thing again.

Even my Amazon Fire TV sometimes pops up and says it cant reach the internet - I believe its actually saying it cant poll Amazon.com

While the above are freezing etc you can usually access stuff.co.nz and geekzone - so I assume its international routing.....

No issues on a wholesale VDSL connection.

Hi,

Isn't the BBC iplayer available in the UK only which site are you accessing? please post a specific error message.

Amazon fire tv gets its content from multiple sources (Google - TLS and certificates, Akamai-Menu, Amazon-Videos) Can you be specific which error you get, does it display the menu, does the video not play when selected. Does it even open the menu?  which DNS server address you use you use. I suggest to open a separate thread if you have a specific problem so it can be addressed properly.

Hi, Which international content are you trying to access, is it from softlayer technologies in San Jose? Can you be specific which  international destination IP address you are having issues on?

Maybe Vodafone should speed cap those on VDSL who are getting better than low end fibre speeds cry
