Seeing as XNet seem to be offering a free VFX line with their broadband connections I was looking at getting to see what it's like when I switch over to them for my broadband. But since I'm a n00b in this area so I thought I'd see if I understand things properly.
This is how I understand it, I can either get a Modem/VoIP Box Combo (e.g. WRTP54G-AU ) or I can just get a VoIP Box (e.g. PAP2T) and connect it to my current Modem via ethernet. Both of which I just have to connect a normal PSTN phone to to get it working. Is that correct?
Can anyone recommend one configuration over the other? What's the quality of the calls like?
Also is there any way of somehow connecting the current phone lines through my house to the box? So we can use the existing jacks situated through the house?
Cheers,
