I recectly got a new phone (nokia 5700 Express Music)

When i got it none of the live settings worked nor the pxt or Internet.

Called vodafone 3 times and given a differnt story, eventually spoke to a mate who works for them he instructed me to go to
wireless.vodafone.co.nz

from here you can send them config settings to yourself, has most models of phones and PDA's aswell.
(mine wasnt there but the other nokia express music settings worked fine.)

Just noticed there is a few people after the settings thought this would make it easier for everyone

The latest Nokia symbian models that are released within the past 12 months or so have settings pre configured worldwide so you don't need to receive any settings.

Only the nokia symbian models have settings pre configured so i dont think there's any point stickying the thread

I would have thought so aswell, Mine is a Symbian phone and did not have any of the settings in the phone. well they where there but none worked, had to delete them all and start with the ones that were sent of the site.

The system works well but alot of the phones people ask for settings are not in the live portal system for vodafone and so manual entering is required..

Tried this with my Nokia 5700 and it doesnt work.
That site doesnt actually list it.

Any other ideas on how to get it working? I've got all the right setting as far as I can tell.

Have you tried the Nokia website, there is a support section where you can configure MMS, Email and WAP settings.

These settings are sent out as WAP Push messages.

As far as I know this can be done from the Sony Ericsson and Nokia websites.

Try the 5300 Settings they should work.

Also another thing with the 5700 flash it with the latest firmware, - unbranded my phone is alot faster and have had alot less problems since, and no annoying vodafone logos.

Pm me if you want info on how to do this.

Hey,
I haven't had any success yet with settings from the Nokia website. Trying to get it to push settings to my phone and the phone never receives anything. and the basic settings instructions (ie MMS etc) told me to go to menus that didnt exist... I tried my approximations of their instructions - using the settings wizard, but I get the error 'no operator data'.

I've also tried the 5300 series off the vodafone website but had no success there either.

    Hey Mr Pink, not too sure what you would need to use for the 6300. Nokia only suppprt this on their
    European Website and they dont even have the config settings on there!!

Hey MrPink, just found out that the 6300 is the successor to the 6230??
I guess you can see if these settings are available through the Wireless Data Portal

Hi. Try calling the Nokia Careline on 0800 665 421, preferably from another phone.
The rep can guide you through the set up.

Hi,
I also have the 5700. The lack of settings was a known issue with the first batch in NZ. There was a fix issued which should have been sorted by the store which sold you the phone. I think I have the details at work. If I can figure out how, I will post it tomorrow, or can email to you.

6230i would be the sucessor of 6230

then i suppose from 6230i 6300 came out
