Sadly that just means Vodafone have paid for a licence to transmit. I've seen RBI sites that have just been built (Dec 15), that had been licensed 6 months before.

If it's still on schedule, then possibly next month. No guarantees though as schedules change for many reasons.
@JohnR may be able to confirm if build is at least in progress.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster and even more now as they are upgrading their rural Conklins. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend $195 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

Sadly after 2 years of planning meetings etc it appears a lone protester who blocked the main road late last year seems to have put a hold on things when the council and vf showed up to start work. I was wondering if vf had managed to move past this issue.

So this guy didn't object when the project was notified and now he wants to kick up a stink? I presume that's what happened?

Yep. Was on TV claiming no one had spoke to him even though he attended the community meetings.

So is there anything you lot can do about it, or is that the end of that chapter? Sounds like he just wants to be a pain and nothing else, really.

Surely if the guy is blocking the road then the boys in blue should be turning up and chucking him in the back of a wagon?

Will be the first person to complain because they could not make a 111 call cause of no mobile coverage

Mobile coverage is spotty to say the least esp on the south side of the estuary. We are fed from the tutukaka cell site and when the cell breathes we suffocate. The 700 mhz upgrade last week helped a little with data but voice is still problematic.

So are you going to do anything about this lone protester?

Every site build (RBI or not) can be different and can involve working with individual communities. Without knowing about this specific situation I'm sure we would work towards a solution that works for everyone where we can. I've asked around to see have we have any further information available.

We are working towards a resolution which I understand has been positive. Because it is still in progress we do not have a timeframe at this stage but hope that an agreement can be reached soon. If/when an agreement is reached, depending on other scheduling, it may be able to be built within a couple of months.
