(Not sure if this is the correct forum - not actually Vodafone NZ but wasn't sure where else to put it).

We recently arrived in the UK on holiday and I have arranged a Vodafone SIM card in my iPad for data.

It's been working fine for a few days but today has stopped working and I get a message saying "Error. The Internet connection appears to be offline" - even though Vodafone UK shows up as carrier in the top left-hand bar with 4/5 dots signal strength. Wifi works fine.

I have tried turning data on/off, rebooting the iPad etc - all to no effect.

Would welcome any thoughts - hoping to save myself a trip back to the vf shop.

TIA.

Have you run out of data?

Are there any restrictions on tethering, and you have tethered?

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

I was in UK last year and also bought a Voda UK sim. From memory, it had 2G data, but ran out after five days. Have no idea why, as we just checked e-mails and brief checks on internet news. Did not follow up as we were on the move, and did not want to spend more pounds on a questionable product.

You could also try reset the Network Settings under General - Reset

Sometimes just turning on Airplane mode for 30 seconds then turning it off again can fix things like this too.

I bought 2GB over 30 days. I have kept it turned off unless actively using it and have used it very little - so far as I am aware. Only arranged it 2-1/2 days ago.

Will try the device swap thing but I'm guessing I'll have to traipse back to the shop.
