Over the past few months I regularly cannot connect to anything on the internet for a minute or so. It resolves itself but then happens a few minutes later. My suspicion is there is a DNS issue based on the browser error messages. This happens across multiple people on multiple devices. I am unsure if it is our wireless modem or Vodafone.

Before I launch into investigating the issue I wonder if others are having the same issue? I started investigating last night but then realised I have munted my laptop and have no diagnostic tools from a terminal. I will fix that first tonight.

Vodafone cable modem, name is something color.

I am on FibreX and getting DNS issues over last few weeks which cause higher than normal latency to warcraft servers in LA. VF and DNS is getting kinda old.

Same issue here, VDSL Vodafone in Wellington. Has been on-going for a few months and I finally got around to capturing a Fiddler trace which captured a 502 DNS Lookup Failed error. I find it works for a while and then I lose connectivity for 1-2 minutes and then it works fine again.

This thread suggests there might be an issue with the HG659.
