Hi All,

Trialling a RBI unit and can't get an definitive answer from the store on if suresignal be used on a 4G RBI connection?

For an extra 10 points, if not, why not?

(Yes I know I can VPN it to a fixed VF endpoint somewhere, just don't need the extra boxes on my network)

Thanks

Mac

My question is more of a routing one than an RF one.

I.E Is a RBI unit able to have a sure signal plugged into it's ethernet and will the suresignal register/work OK.

For the record, yes, my RBI trial unit initially came up with full signal as it found the 3G connection of my sure signal and happily connected to it. (Had to change the 4G priority setting in the RBI and that seemed to make it ignore the suresignal 3G signal)

Cheers

I'm sure I've seen someone reporting that they had this setup working, although it's not supported. Will try to find the link.

The issue is, OK on 4G, but then phone call comes in, router drops to 3G, locks on to Sure Signal, then dead. I have had a Sure Signal run on a Vodsfone 4G RBI connection, but it's not supported and I believe this has now been blocked.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster and even more now as they are upgrading their rural Conklins. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend $195 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
