We've identified the issue. Related to the recent spam issues, so not something that's been around for long. Been dealt with now but grateful for the info/heads up.

Some time ago - maybe a year? - Vodafone caught up with me and gave me the choice of them closing my old Clear account and ditching my Clear email address, or paying to keep it. Since it's an 'irreplaceable' address (FirstName.LastName@clear.net.nz) and still widely used even though I haven't been a Clear/VF customer for fifteen years or more, I decided to keep it, for which VF are charging me $5.06/month. Yes, five dollars and six cents per month, direct debited from my Credit Card: weird.

 

 

 

However, I get more spam from my Clear account than from all my others (Spark & GMail) put together. Most of it is in Chinese characters.

 

Quality paid-for service? Yeah, right

So is this why I've been receiving over 100 spam emails a day? If so, when is the fix (or fixes) set to take place?

Fixes have been ongoing and final fix tomorrow, so volume should have decreased and be gone by thurs am.

I would have hoped for a decrease on the amount of SPAM I got from last week. And although I have not been counting how many emails are coming through, I get the impression I'm getting more.

If in doubt, send some examples to us and we can check that they're in the filter etc

Have sent a number of emails to that address yesterday afternoon and today. I was wondering if they've been received and checked against the filter?
