Detruire:
But they didn't! This thread probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the user who received an email from them, and decided to post on these forums!
Filterer:
That is a gross over simplification

2) If they were really worried about the word getting out in public about their plan there would have been confidentiality agreements
Filterer:
4) Phil (maverick) has confirmed the existence of the plan

maverick: Guys, we have to make sure we have covered all things, appreciate there is a lot of interest in this but?as most of you know our plans are generally worth waiting for?and we need to have all the details correct......just a bit longer.....
Detruire:Three words: Speed issue updates.
Detruire:Just because they didn't care about it getting out doesn't mean they'd have made an official announcement about it though, does it?
Detruire:After the posts on Geekzone and this thread, he can't exactly deny it...

I tend to disagree - I think the two go hand in hand, they aren't stupid.... marketing by hype can be very, very cost effective

Filterer:TheBartender: WxC/Xnet have a habit of doing this...not setting an exact date for the launch of a new service or planned changes/upgrades etc...that way, they can never be accused by customers or others of not delevering what they promised.
I think thats a bit harsh - they didn't have to come out and say they were in the works of creating a new plan...
perhaps next time they won't keep geekzone users in the loop.....

I too had been told of this plan prior to this thread, at the Geekzone Pizza event.
It maybe harsh, but its true.
I too asked about the redesign of the xnet website, due to its poor design and cohesion...requiring multiple logins etc...and was told it was in the works, not far off, but that to has failed to materialise...
I am not complaining, just being honest, stating that obvious, that better could be done and letting their customers know whats happening and when exactly helps with that process.
