I had no issues earlier, otherwise I would have said so to Maverick when testing the beta...but have just looked, and sure enough as the above guys state, everything has zeroed?

Mine being not on Torrent yet, has dropped back down to the start price of the plan (river), and the accountable data has zeroed...

Minor bug Maverick?

I am sure you guys will put it right, I'm not worried myself (yet)

Major issue on a minor server platform... Laughing,

Should be back on line now, there was an issue with the database and amount of connections , as we are supplying so much more details now a few things had to change, hopefully all should be good now, we are working on a new base platform for this as well so we hopefully won't have this issue again.

hi eevryone.new guy here doesnt knw any geeky stuff. just some quick questions. I am on the river plan with xnet and am keen in moving into the trrent plan.. what i wanna know is... as it is.. now on the current plan.. if my bandwidth has finished and im waiting for the new batch at 12am 1st. I do not get it instantly. I have to wait like till 1.30am or so.. so i guess its not updated instantly on 12am. (even if i restart my modem).   If i move on the torrent plan, and at 12am i start using my pc for downloads etc.. what i worry about is Xnet still charging me till around 1am or so or whatever. I hope you get my point here..

Secondly, my speed sucks. I do not know if it is because of my area. My speed is like 2xxx kb/s and im reading on this site people ranting about hoe the speed could be better and they have it at 6000+ and so on. So does this mean theres something wrong with my connection?

Thanks.. Hope to see some replies that helps me.

The usage monitor takes a while to synchronise, it is not real time.  If they say that on Torrent you pay nothing from 12:00 onwards, then you pay nothing from 12:00 onwards.  I'm told their data usage is very accurate.

Log a help desk request and ask that they check your line.  It is possible there is a wiring fault or a faulty ADSL line filter or a faulty port at the exchange.  WxC can check a lot of things from their end.

You can never have enough Volvos!

its now 12.27 am. I updated to the torrent plan at 12 sharp. after half an hour still crappy dial up speeds. I am hardly getting 5-8 kb/sec downloads. this was what i was worried about. Why am i still running on the dial up speed!??! even replying on this thread takes me alot of time and effort.

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!

Wow!

Thats impressive!

Wish I could get those speeds...

I just did same test, having just changed over myself, and got the following results:
Download Speed: 59 kbps (7.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 50 kbps (6.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Speedtest run at: 12:39 am, 01 Jun 2008

But I am not of the same thinking as you my friend...
It has only just changed over...and I am sure it will come right.
No worrys

Myself, I had been throttled for last day of the month as hit my set maximum spend/quota....

But being past 12am of the new month, it should pick back up...

is there an issue with the throttle being 'stuck' after changing plan?

It might be, last night between 12 and 7 DU meter says i did around 2 gigs, xnet usage monitor says that I only used 4 megs offpeak as of 10 am today, either their reporting is quite far behind or the new "month" doesn't flick around at midnight as you might expect. Will see later today if my offpeak usage has caught up
