Three days to go ... I wonder if my fridge will defrost, microwave spark, or houseplants wither? wink

Can't say I want this Internet of Things technology. I can live without my washing machine spending all its time gossiping with the fridge about whether or not the toaster is still having an affair with the TV. tongue-out

SPF of forwarded mail is failing, although I am still receiving it. Old clear.net.nz address forwarding to my Office 365 address. Note, I have manually change the domain names for the sending and receiving domains for privacy.

Authentication-Results: spf=fail (sender IP is 203.97.33.64)

 smtp.mailfrom=sendingdomain.co.nz; receivingdomain.co.nz; dkim=none (message not signed)

 header.d=none;receivingdomain.co.nz; dmarc=none action=none

 header.from=sendingdomain.co.nz;

Received-SPF: Fail (protection.outlook.com: domain of sendingdomain.co.nz does not

 designate 203.97.33.64 as permitted sender) receiver=protection.outlook.com;

 client-ip=203.97.33.64; helo=smtp3.clear.net.nz;

Early on, correspondents reported to me that their emails were being bounced/rejected due to "Vodafone servers being on a SORBS blacklist".

A check this morning shows clear.net.nz and paradise.net.nz as being OK, but of course these get shunted out as Forwarded through Vodafone, and I can see that vodafone.co.nz is currently blacklisted.

PS  IP 203.97.33.64 is currently on 5 blacklists !

I've just received an email from Vodafone telling me that all is set up OK with my redirect. Five minutes later another one arrived to tell me that I haven't set up a redirect, and with a fresh link to use to set it up.

The redirect has been working fine for weeks - not sure why they are being so confused.

Also, I agreed for them to send my bill to the redirect address - so of course, they are still sending it to the Paradise one.....

Sigh

Well, it is all gone now I suppose. I'll await the Stuff article full of wailing and gnashing of teeth over forever lost e-mail.

My wife got an email at 7:05am this morning that had been sent to her old Clear address (junk mail), and it came through, so Forwarding is still working <s> .. either that or the world ends at midnight tonight.

Just last week I got referred to a person who wanted to know if they 'had to do anything about it' because they had got a few emails but thought it was 'all done automatically' ;-(

I overheard someone on the phone at work advising someone else that they had to set up a Gmail account because Vodafone were shutting down. Not "closing their email service", but just "Vodafone is shutting down". undecided

Vodafone staff in UK told me recently that Vodafone NZ was actively being sold.

They were, but the Commerce Commission said no. http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/business/333802/sky-vodafone-drop-plans-for-merger

"actively being sold" has an air of this being business as usual, as if the company exists solely to be sold regularly.

I'd happily leave Voda tomorrow if not for an early termination fee.
