Interesting ... yesterday I deemed my Clear email address was no longer needed, and that all my correspondents etc were aware of my new email address.

I logged into my Clear Account, went to the Manage Users section and saw that my wife's and my Clear addresses were indeed marked as being Forwarded to their respective new addresses ... and I then proceeded to delete my one.

However, just now I have received an email sent to my old Clear address, ergo the Forwarding is still working, so question is -

is the deletion process not automated but treated manually at Vodafone?, and

how long before it kicks in?

Doesn't worry me too much, but people I have been assisting could get anxious.

     >Q: If I go to my Clear/Paradise etc Account through Customer Zone, and then delete my email address, will that then stop the current Forwarding action that was set in place by Vodafone via their recent email link?<

     >@rickles Yes as will close the email account<

THAT'S interesting ... I closed/deleted the email several days ago ... Forwarding is still happening !!

Just got my bill from Vodafone and they are charging me for email for December yet I was in one of the domains that they wanted us off so I enabled forwarding.

So not looking forward to the hassle of getting the refund.

They are still forwarding the email, so I don't think you'll be entitled a refund. But do let us know how it goes.

This is just silly!!

As per previous posts, I deleted my Clear email account several days ago ... YET I am still getting such emails Forwarded to me.

Even worse, they are spam and junk, although the nice looking Russian lady might also be a good cook wink

Oh, just got another one ... guess who from??????  VODAFONE !!!!

smtp.vodafone.co.nz  is still working !!
Is that also going to be shut down , eventually ?

Just had a customer still using that smtp , only stopped working for them after they swapped ISP

So will be hundreds of various printers(scan) , software, email clients etc still sending via smtp.vodafone.co.nz .
Just something for us all to look forward to fixing IF/when voda smtp closes

:-)
