Hi folks,

Anyone else having issues\no picture on the vodafone T-Box within the Wellington Cable network?

The modem\christmas tree thing with it is showing the 3 tops lights solid green, the forth flashing, and the fifth solid too.

I'm in the Johnsonville area.

EDIT: already done a power reset of the modem and T Box.

Error on screen on The requested service/content is unavailable.

Service returned about an hour after the outage.

What I'm deeply unimpressed by is the wait/hold time. The first time during the outage was over 40 minutes. Ok they said wait/hold times were around 25 minutes at this beginning of the call.

The second time I was on hold for nearly an hour, at which point I gave up.I suspect at the end, people on the other end had gone, as while on hold I stopped hearing the recorded messages concerning the outage.

The reason for the second call was once the T box services were resumed, about a minutes later the t box power cable transformer blew. A clearly audible pop sound was heard. If this was as old as the T box, I'd not be too bothered, but as this power cable was only replaced by the Vodafone contractor about 6 weeks ago I'm convinced something came down the cable to cause this. The power was plugged into a basic power board with the basic surge protection on it. As the modern is plugged into the same board, and didn't drop out, this failure I believe has been a result of the services being resumed. Of course, I'm speculating and have no proof to back this up, but I do find it strange for a new cable to fail.

Maybe third time lucky in getting through to someone at Vodafone..
